Google on Saturday paid tribute to Tefania Morecinenu
on her 140th birthday with a doodle
Romanian physicist Morecinenu was one of the leading women
in the discovery and research of radioactivity.
Returning after working for four years at the Astronomical Observatory in Medan
the physicist created Romania's first laboratory for the study of radioactivity.
She devoted her time to researching artificial rain for which she traveled to Algeria to test her results.
