Snapchat Starts Testing Paid Subscription Feature ‘Snapchat Plus’: Report


New Delhi. Snapchat is reportedly testing its subscription membership feature called Snapchat Plus. Snap spokeswoman Liz Markman has confirmed this. Snapchat’s paid subscription gives users access to the features on the app as well as other apps. A month’s subscription to Snapchat Plus will cost €4.59 (approximately Rs 370), while a one-year subscription plan will cost €45.99 (approximately Rs 3,700).

Snap spokeswoman Liz Markman claimed in a statement to The Verge that the social network Snapchat is working internally on its paid subscription service. In a statement to the website, Markman shared that the company is currently engaged in the initial testing of Snapchat Plus. “We are excited to share experimental and pre-release features with our customers and we are trying to learn more about how we can best serve our community,” he added.

Snapchat Plus Membership Plan
App researcher Alessandro Paluzzi has shared information about the price of Snapchat Plus membership on Twitter. The tweet indicates that a month’s subscription to Snapchat Plus costs €4.59 (approximately Rs. 370), while a six-month membership will cost you €24.99 (roughly Rs.2000). At the same time, the one-year subscription plan comes with a price tag of 45.99 Euro (about Rs 3,700).

One week trial
Apart from this, the company can also provide a one-week free trial to encourage users for paid subscription. The payment will reportedly be linked to the users’ Play store account and the service will auto-renew after a selected interval unless the user cancels it. Snapchat Plus says that it offers users a custom Snapchat icon and a special badge. It allows users to pin conversations with any friend.
