New Delhi. After private telecom companies, now Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has also increased the prices of some of its plans. The government telecom company has increased the price of its data voucher of Rs 1498. The increased prices have come into effect from July 1, 2022. This voucher is now available for Rs.1515. However, there has been no change in the benefits received in the plan. 2GB daily data is available in the plan, which will continue to be available even further. The validity of this plan is 365 days.
It is worth noting that BSNL has been reducing the benefits of many of its prepaid plans. Earlier, TelecomTalk had reduced the benefits of Rs 99, Rs 118 and Rs 319 plans. Apart from this, BSNL has also reduced the benefits available in the plans of Rs 999 and Rs 1499. Let’s take a look at the old and new benefits.
Benefits of BSNL Rs 999 plans
BSNL’s Rs 999 plan used to come with a validity of 240 days earlier, but from July 1, 2022, the validity of the plan has been increased to 200 days. With this, the cost of this plan has increased from Rs 4.16 to Rs 4.99. Users get unlimited voice calling for 200 days and free PRBT for 2 months with this plan. However, there is no SMS or data benefit available with this plan.

BSNL Rs 1499 plan
BSNL’s Rs 1499 plan comes with unlimited voice calling + 100 SMS / day + 24GB data. No change has been made in this benefit available in this plan, but the company has reduced the validity of the plan from 365 days to 336 days. This means that the daily cost of the plan has increased from Rs 4.10 to Rs 4.46, which is not a huge difference.
Changes before 4G launch
By reducing the validity of these plans, BSNL has indirectly increased the cost of its service. Let us tell you that the government company has been making changes in its offers for the last few days and all this is happening before the 4G launch in India.
