Netflix Cheaper plan: There has been a discussion about advertising on Netflix for a long time, and now it looks like it is going to happen soon. In fact, the company’s CEO Ted Sarandos has confirmed in an interview at the Cannes Lions advertising event that he plans to introduce an ad-supported tier to his list. A report in The New York Times had earlier confirmed that the company is planning to launch the new plan by the end of this year.

Reports have been received that customers will get a cheaper plan soon, but the condition will be that with the plan, users will have to see advertisements in between TV shows, movies. Let us tell you that no ads of any kind are shown in Netflix so far, but the company is planning this when the number of subscribers is reduced.

First such decline in decade
Let us tell you that after years of protesting against ads on the streaming service, the company has made this decision after losing 200,000 subscribers in its first quarter, which is considered to be the first such decline in a decade. Let us tell you that this is the first time that Netflix subscribers have fallen since the streaming service became available around the world outside China six years ago.

Reed Hastings said, ‘I’m a big fan of consumer choice, and want to allow consumers who want a plan for a lower price and who can see the ads.’ Let us tell you that for the last several years, Netflix has been showing movies and TV shows without any advertisement. But now the company is about to make this big change.
