Meta launches Reels APIs, developers will get hashtags, this special feature related to content

Meta APIs: META has announced that the Reel API is being introduced for developers for multiple endpoints on the Instagram platform. According to information received from TechCrunch’s report, the company says that it is introducing new Reel APIs after hearing from its developer community that Reel is the top priority. Meta is expanding the spokes of Reel’s support for content publishing, insights, comment moderation, hashtag search, business discovery, mentions and more.

Developers will be able to use the API to schedule reels and receive social interaction metrics for reels.

The API will also allow developers to reply to comments, delete comments, hide/unhide comments and disable/enable comments on the reel.

In addition, developers will be able to search public reels that have been tagged with specific hashtags. Developers will also be able to identify reels in which the Instagram business or creator’s nickname is tagged or @mentioned.

Meta has stated that these reels will automatically become available to developers who already have access to the applicable API.

The company said in a blog post, “From June 28, 2022, we will begin offering reels for multiple endpoints on the Instagram platform. We’re always looking to improve our content publishing experience, whether people use Instagram natively, or through a third party.
