Think twice before forwarding the message
WhatsApp has created a label for all forward messages. WhatsApp has limited the number of times users can forward messages. In such a situation, we should tell the elders of our house that if they are not sure that it is correct or they do not know the source of the message, then do not forward it to them, as it may contain fake information.

two step verification
WhatsApp allows users to add an extra layer of security to their account by enabling the two-step verification feature. For this, a six-digit PIN is required while resetting and verifying your WhatsApp account. This helps your father or any other elder in case their SIM card is stolen or their phone is tampered with.
Contact blocking and reporting
WhatsApp also provides users with the option to block accounts. If a person sends a message to harass someone, they can either report it or block it. Apart from this, WhatsApp now also gives the option to people to share the reported messages on their phones with fact checkers or law enforcement officers.

WhatsApp also has a feature of ‘Disappearing Messages’, where new messages sent in individual or group chats disappear depending on the duration chosen by the users. Another option is ‘view once’. Under this, if you have sent a photo or video to someone, it will disappear automatically after seeing it once by the receiver.
Control what other people see
WhatsApp allows its users to show their personal details like profile photo, last seen, about, status to whom any user wants. For this, you can choose options like WhatsApp Every One, Only Contact, Select Contact, or None. You can choose any of these options as per your choice.
