New Delhi. The data of Aadhar Card, which has become the most important document for Indian citizens, has been leaked once again. It contains personal information of people, which can also be misused. This time Aadhaar data has been leaked through a government website.
According to the report of a security researcher, the Aadhaar data of about 11 crore farmers has been leaked from the portal of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, a government website created for the benefit of the farmers of the country. If this data falls into the wrong hands, then cyber thugs can also cheat by using it. Even before this people have to go through the problem of Aadhaar data leak.

Which details have been leaked?
Security researcher Atul Nair said in a post on Medium that Aadhaar numbers of registered farmers were being leaked through a part of the PM Kisan Yojana website. Due to a bug on the portal, a part of the website was showing the Aadhaar numbers of farmers registered under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This problem was first noticed by the researcher in late January and was also reported to the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) of the Government of India.
problem fixed in a few months
The Computer Emergency Response Team immediately sent this report to the concerned authorities through the nodal agency and the problem was rectified within a few months. Nair has written in his post that this problem, which came in January, was completely fixed by the end of May. CERT-In has also appreciated the researcher for revealing the problem in time and helping in its solution.

How much registration on PM Kisan
The government had started the PM Kisan scheme in the year 2019 to give direct cash benefits to the farmers. Through this the registration of farmers was done on this government website. About 11 crore farmers have been registered so far. Under the scheme, farmers are given Rs 500 every month, the installment of which is deposited directly into the account every four months in the form of Rs 2,000.
This is not the first time that Aadhaar card details have been leaked by a government website. In the year 2019, the Jharkhand government has allegedly leaked the Aadhaar data of thousands of its employees.
