A New Way to Experience the iPhone 17 Series
Owning the latest Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max no longer means burning a hole in your pocket. Thanks to BytePe, a Bengaluru-based startup founded by former Flipkart executive Jayant Jha, you can now rent the iPhone 17 series starting at just ₹3,456 per month — making luxury smartphones more accessible than ever before.
What Is BytePe?
BytePe is a new entrant in India’s tech rental space, offering subscription-based smartphone access. Instead of buying a device outright or paying hefty EMIs, users can subscribe to premium phones like the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max for a fixed monthly fee.
According to the company’s website:
- iPhone 17 (Base Model): ₹3,456/month (vs EMI ₹6,492)
- iPhone 17 Pro: ₹6,989/month (vs EMI ₹10,825)
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: ₹7,766/month (vs EMI ₹12,075)
That’s almost 40–50% cheaper than traditional EMIs!

How Does It Work?
Users can:
- Select a Device and subscribe for 12 months.
- Use the device freely with damage protection included.
- At the end of the period, they can:
- Upgrade to a newer model
- Return the phone
- Or continue the rental for another year
BytePe’s plans even include repair coverage and a buyback option (up to 50% value) if users wish to purchase the phone later.
BytePe’s Vision: “Democratising Luxury”
Founder and CEO Jayant Jha said:
“After years in India’s consumer electronics industry, I’ve seen how long EMIs, outdated devices, and limited choices frustrate consumers. With BytePe, we are changing that. Our vision is to democratise luxury by enabling millions of Indians to access the latest technology through a smarter, more flexible ownership model.”
Financing Options
- Credit Card Holders: Can subscribe directly via BytePe’s website.
- Non-Credit Card Users: Can use BytePe EMI, the company’s in-house financing service.
Once the 12-month term ends, users can upgrade, return, or buy the phone — whichever suits them best.
